Director Speaks

It gives me immense pleasure to share a few words about the Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA), a vital arm of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) dedicated to promoting knowledge-driven agricultural development in India.

ICAR-DKMA plays a central role in disseminating scientific and technical information to farmers, researchers, policymakers, and the wider public. By documenting and communicating innovations from India’s National Agricultural Research System (NARS), DKMA ensures that research outcomes translate into real-world impact.

Our work spans a wide range of activities—including the publication of journals and books, multimedia outreach, digital content creation, press and media coordination, and technology transfer communication. We are committed to strengthening the agricultural knowledge ecosystem through timely, reliable, and accessible communication.

In a time when digital transformation is reshaping every sector, DKMA continues to evolve by adopting modern tools and platforms to reach stakeholders efficiently. Our efforts are aimed at empowering the Indian farming community, supporting agricultural policy, and enhancing public awareness of agricultural science and innovation.

We at ICAR-DKMA remain dedicated to our mission of bridging the gap between research and practice, and we look forward to continuing our service in support of India’s agricultural progress.
