Welcome

The Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA), ICAR, welcomes contributions for publication from ICAR institutes, research centres, scientists, and collaborators across the National Agricultural Research, Education and Extension System (NAREES). Our goal is to disseminate quality agricultural knowledge through scientifically sound and professionally presented publications.

What We Publish

We publish a wide range of materials, including:

• Books and monographs
• Technical bulletins and manuals
• Annual reports and newsletters
• Popular publications for farmers and stakeholders
• ePublications (Journals and Magazines) through the ICAR ePubs portal only (https://epubs.icar.org.in/)

Steps to Publish

Follow these steps to publish Books, monographs, Technical bulletins and Manuals with DKMA:

1. Proposal Submission

Authors or ICAR institutes may submit a detailed proposal including:

• Title of the publication
• Type of publication (book, bulletin, manual, etc.)
• Summary or abstract
• Target audience and relevance
• Author(s) and their affiliation
• Estimated length and tentative submission date

2. Editorial Review

The proposal will be reviewed by DKMA's Editorial Board for suitability, relevance, and alignment with ICAR's publishing objectives and get approved by competent authority.

3. Manuscript Submission

Once approved, the author(s) will be asked to submit the final manuscript, duly formatted and reviewed. DKMA provides editorial assistance including:

• Copy editing
• Technical formatting
• Design and layout
• Language proofreading

4. Approval and Publishing

After editorial processing, the publication will be released through:

• Print copies for distribution
• Online access via ICAR's ePubs Portal, ICAR website
• Promotion via ICAR and DKMA platforms

Guidelines for Authors

• All submissions must follow ICAR publishing standards and ethical guidelines.
• Proper acknowledgments, citations, and permissions are mandatory.
• Manuscripts should be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism.
